You really bring up some interesting poin...Vardan,

You really bring up some interesting points about our tech-savvy society. You're right that more people, especially younger people, are more connected than ever. As early as eight, as you have witnessed, kids are exposed to more and more media than anytime in history, and the consequences of such exposure are still being researched.

Which leads to me thinking about a revision for your paper: research. What studies have been conducted that focus on technology at an early age, sepcifically devices like tablets and cell phones? Are they harmful to us? After all, if younger kids were not exposed to technology at an early age, wouldn't this harm them in the future when they may be forced to incorporate technology for, as an example, a career choice? So maybe such devices have an advantage.

Nevertheless, I see the point you are trying to make. Cetainly an 8-year-old is not thinking that this iPad may help me in the future when I want to become a programmer for Google. No, she or he just wants to play Angry Birds. And this, Vardan, is where the research can help you.

You say that you don't think society is as evil as is portrayed in "Gamer," but we are certainly exposed to violent and sexist images daily through the use of technology. These are the areas you want to focus on in your research. How do these images change our perspective, especially as the Facebook user, iPad user, computer user, etc., gets younger and younger.EhDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14147747669705092912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3950934433132566207.post-62251671490672544742012-03-07T01:39:07.301-08:002012-03-07T01:39:07.301-08:00You are so complete right about the little kids ha...You are so complete right about the little kids having iPhones and iPads nowadays. Seriously do you even know how to use it? It's the parents fault. Why would they buy something so expensive for their young child! I just hope we as a whole don't become corrupted.Syuzanna Orujyanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441661923476939370noreply@blogger.com
